Velvet can be incorporated in pretty much any outfit, whether you want to be bold, say a velvet dress, or just as an accent piece, on a scarf or purse... either way you can't really go wrong. 

Added bonus: I'm overcome with nostalgia for my ice skating days... maybe it's just me but, that red dress looks strikingly similar to the outfits I used to wear to the ice rink for lessons.
